It is 39.9 degrees here and this is unheard of for our part of the world and it is unbearable. We are just not used to it down here.
We are sitting in the front room, usually cool but so hot with every window open and the fan going.
The dogs are desperate to go out and do not know what to do with themselves.
I was at the vets by 9am having done a short walk in the field earlier. Luckily there are some small gardens next door to the vets and by the time the others turned up we did a very short walk around there and then headed down the cool path to the cafe on the beach where we sat in the shade.
By the time we had a nice chat and came back our cars the tarmac on the road was melting in the heat.
Ania in all of this was fine. She is eating again after her acupuncture and she is well. Now her breathing is not good with this heat and she is restless. They do not know where to lie in the cool.
Tomorrow for us should be dull and cooler but I will hope to get up really early too get to the caravan before the heat comes up.
I am worried that Ania is going to be able to cope with all this but her zest for life is still there . All the bags are packed and she knows where we are going. The trouble is she thinks that we are going now.
Fudge has an upset tummy and I am hoping it is the excessive heat and not his campobylacter
coming back. I worry that he will be poorly whilst we are away.
Looking forward to seeing these hills again although the cows are probably back in the field so we will have to give it a miss.
