The torrential rain ceased late last night and today we have been left with mist and fine drizzle. The grass is sodden and when I walked the dogs around the village this morning they were so miserable.
I then decided to put them in the car and drive them to their favourite Stover Park.
It was flooded and thick with mud but the dogs were overjoyed as it has been a few months since we have been there. Although we stuck to the paths they were running in water and debris. This did not deter them for one minute.
Ania was so excited that it affected her breathing and we only walked for 40 minutes. This was enough for her. We could not have gone up into the forest though as everything was full of huge puddles. The beautiful lake is now thick muddy water and in places the lake was coming up to meet the path.
Fudge has been drinking more than ever and I have been in and out all evening. One more trip outside and we will all go to bed and at least he will sleep through the night.
